Department Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Department Manager to lead one of our key restaurant areas. Reporting to the restaurant manager, you will ensure a fast, accurate and friendly experience for every guest while driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the assigned department (Guest Service, Kitchen, or People) to meet quality, speed and safety standards.
• Manage systems such as training, food safety, inventory control and scheduling.
• Set performance goals, delegate tasks, monitor progress and report results to senior management.
• Ensure all crew members are trained on service or production procedures and new menu items.
• Control food costs, maintain inventory accuracy and uphold food safety regulations.
• Recruit, train and schedule qualified crew to align with sales and profit targets.
• Coordinate sales promotions and maintain organized front‑counter, McCafé and drive‑thru areas.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading restaurant shifts or departments.
• Strong ability to motivate and develop team members.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on food safety and cost control.
• Flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
