About the role

The Department Manager leads a specific area of a fast‑food restaurant, ensuring customers receive fast, accurate, and friendly service. You will work within an independent franchise that operates under the McDonald’s brand, reporting to senior restaurant management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
• Set departmental goals, delegate tasks, monitor progress, and report results.
• Ensure crew and managers deliver an excellent customer experience.
• Oversee sales promotions and maintain organized Front Counter, McCafé, and Drive‑Thru areas.
• Guarantee high‑quality, safe food is prepared quickly while controlling food costs.
• Hire qualified crew, provide thorough training, and create schedules that meet sales and profit targets.
