Department Manager

About the role

The Department Manager leads a specific area of a fast‑service restaurant, ensuring that guests receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. You will oversee daily operations, train staff, and maintain high standards of food safety, quality, and service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead shift teams each week, setting goals and delegating tasks.
• Manage assigned systems such as training, food safety, and inventory management.
• Report results to senior managers and adjust plans as needed.
• Guest Service Department: ensure crew deliver great customer experiences, execute sales promotions, and keep Front Counter, McCafé, and Drive‑Thru organized.
• Kitchen Department: guarantee fast, high‑quality food delivery, maintain food safety, control food costs, and train kitchen staff on production procedures.
• People Department: recruit qualified crew, provide thorough training, and schedule staff to meet sales and profit targets.

Required profile

• Experience leading restaurant shifts and managing teams.
• Ability to set goals, delegate tasks, and follow up on performance.
• Strong focus on customer service, food safety, and inventory control.
• Capability to train staff and ensure compliance with operational standards.
