Department Manager

About the role

The Department Manager leads a specific area of a fast‑service restaurant, ensuring guests receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. You will oversee daily operations, coach crew members, and drive performance in your assigned department.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned systems such as training, food safety, and inventory management.
• Set departmental goals, delegate tasks, and monitor progress.
• Report results to senior managers and collaborate with other department heads.
• Ensure sales promotions are executed correctly and service areas (Front Counter, McCafé, Drive‑Thru) are organized for optimal service.
• Control food costs, maintain food quality and safety standards, and train kitchen staff on production procedures.
• Recruit, train, and schedule crew to meet sales and profit targets.
