Department Manager

About the role

Zara is seeking a dynamic Department Manager to lead a sales section within its stores. You will be responsible for delivering commercial targets while maintaining an attractive, client‑focused image for the department.

Key responsibilities

• Control stock and drive the section to meet sales objectives.
• Review new arrivals, allocate locations and manage store/warehouse rotations.
• Coordinate with other managers to ensure a unified brand image.
• Supervise product replenishment and merchandising, including fixtures, mannequins and window displays.
• Provide continuous feedback to the general manager and the sales team.
• Conduct product and commercial analysis to inform actions that improve sales.
• Ensure high customer‑service standards and resolve incidents promptly.
• Minimize shrinkage and execute store‑specific action plans.
• Organise and train the sales team, identify talent, and give constructive feedback.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and occupational risk regulations.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and inspirational skills for a retail sales team.
• Deep knowledge of fashion trends, product range and social media.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret sales and product reports.
