Delivery Driver (Non-CDL)

About the role

HD Supply is hiring a non-CDL delivery driver in Sparks, Nevada. The driver makes deliveries to customers using a company-provided or rental vehicle, keeps delivery records, inspects and maintains the vehicle, and handles customer service on order and delivery issues. Motor Vehicle Records are monitored continuously, so an acceptable MVR and a valid driver's license are required.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver customer orders safely within the service area, following the planned route and traffic laws
• Load inventory and unload orders at customer sites using powered and non-powered material handling equipment
• Review order manifests to make sure orders and daily routes are complete and accurate
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations and company policy
• Maintain contact with the distribution center about delivery interruptions and prepare vehicle and order records
• Contact customers with delivery updates and give management feedback on escalated issues

Required profile

• Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR status
• Generally 2-5 years of experience in the area of responsibility; HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred
• Preferred: experience delivering merchandise in a box truck, 1+ years with material handling equipment, no more than 2 minor accidents or moving violations in the last 3 years, and wholesale distribution experience
