Daycare Teacher (After‑School Program)

About the role

Mentoring Alliance After School is looking for a ministry‑focused Daycare Teacher to join our after‑school team. You will lead elementary‑age children in enrichment activities, fostering their development and helping them reach their full potential in a Christian‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate enrichment activities for elementary students.
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and spiritually supportive environment.
• Maintain attendance records and communicate daily progress to parents.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and ministry standards.
• Collaborate with other staff to create a cohesive after‑school program.

Required profile

• Agree with and live by the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith.
• At least 17 years old with a High School Diploma or GED (post‑secondary training preferred).
• Pass a mandatory background and sex‑offender check.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license or ID.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar.
• Spanish‑speaking ability is highly valued.

Required skills

• CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory).
