DATEP Surveyor – Atlanta

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a DATEP Surveyor to conduct compliance surveys of providers across the state. This position focuses on Drug Abuse Treatment and Education Programs (DATEP) and requires extensive travel to evaluate provider adherence to state rules and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of all rules and regulations used to evaluate compliance.
• Plan, schedule, and implement compliance surveys as assigned.
• Assess provider compliance, identify deficiencies, and determine license eligibility.
• Prepare detailed, professional reports that incorporate data analysis, interpretation, and regulatory references.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure survey instruments reflect current policies and regulations.
• Conduct onsite visits independently and maintain records in accordance with state and federal law.
• Enter information accurately and timely into databases and applications.
• Provide technical assistance to providers regarding policy, rules, and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least two years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with at least three years of experience.
• Knowledge of DATEP and Medication‑Assisted Treatment (MAT) services.
• Experience working with individuals with substance‑use disorders, preferably within DATEP services.
• Professional licensure or credentialing in a related field is preferred.
