Databricks Lead Engineer

About the role

Infosys' Data and Analytics (DNA) unit is seeking a Databricks Lead Engineer to drive data‑centric solutions for clients across the United States. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and AI‑enabled analytics platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Document and refine business requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Lead design discussions for software applications and capture architectural decisions.
• Develop new features and enhance existing solutions while ensuring system stability.
• Perform code reviews, manage code repositories, and maintain high‑quality code standards.
• Define and execute test strategies, analyze outcomes, and coordinate bug fixes.
• Create user training materials, documentation, and support frameworks for smooth adoption.
• Diagnose production issues, propose preventive measures, and improve reliability.
• Maintain comprehensive records of code changes, testing procedures, and support activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data engineering and big‑data processing.
• Strong background in building solutions on Databricks and using PySpark.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in analytics.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical designs.
