Data Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Data Systems Engineer to join our growing team. Reporting to the Director of Data Systems, you will help design and deliver scalable data solutions that power analytics, reporting and integration across the business. The role offers a collaborative environment with flexibility to work both on‑site and remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing and maintaining enterprise data platforms, including data lakes, warehouses and lakehouse environments.
• Partner with business stakeholders and product owners to create reporting solutions, data extracts and logical data models.
• Build, monitor and optimise data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Ensure data quality, integrity and consistency across Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and Azure services.
• Support data visualisation initiatives, including Power BI dashboards and semantic models.
• Deliver project objectives on time, within scope and with high quality standards.
• Contribute to data governance, standards and best‑practice documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience writing complex SQL queries and working with data models.
• 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT processes.
• Proven experience with modern cloud‑based data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric.
