About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Data Specialist / Administrative Assistant to support the Forensic and Psychology Departments at the West Central Georgia Regional Hospital. Working under general supervision, you will ensure accurate and timely management of departmental data while providing essential administrative support.

Key responsibilities

• Enter, monitor, and maintain forensic and psychology data in hospital and state databases, tracking systems, and reporting platforms.
• Oversee forensic admission referrals, coordinating review, approval, and admission processes.
• Support the Forensic Review Committee by managing information, updating tracking systems, and documenting committee activities.
• Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and periodic reports, ensuring data accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Provide weekly status updates to forensic examiners on case activity, outstanding requirements, and delays.
• Verify data for completeness and timeliness, following up with staff to correct any issues.
• Maintain departmental spreadsheets and tracking tools for referrals, admissions, evaluations, and performance metrics.
• Assist departmental leadership with data‑related tasks and reporting needs.
