Data Sovereignty & Systems Lead

About the role

The Data Sovereignty & Systems Lead will manage Nigig Gamik’s new Case Management System, ensuring it aligns with Indigenous Data Sovereignty principles and supports the safety and well‑being of children, youth and families in the Algonquin community.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the Case Management System, create user access points and provide staff training.
• Recommend and implement workflow updates based on service needs.
• Oversee the Intake and Navigation team to ensure smooth client onboarding.
• Liaise with external partners to retrieve client‑owned data and guarantee secure storage.
• Collaborate with the Director of Service Delivery to design and migrate data to the new system.
• Align system functionality with organizational goals and community cultural values.
• Promote evidence‑informed service delivery while upholding privacy and ethical data practices.

Required profile

• Experience in data management and system administration.
• Understanding of Indigenous Data Sovereignty principles.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Proven capacity to train staff and lead a team.
• Commitment to culturally respectful and ethical data handling.

What we offer

• Competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $95,000 annually.
