About the role

Anthropic is seeking a senior Data Scientist to join its Product team. You will help shape the company’s mission of building safe, beneficial AI by turning product and user data into actionable insights that drive strategy, product road‑maps, and operational improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Dive deep into product and user data to uncover insights, size opportunities, and influence product road‑maps.
• Develop hypotheses, design controlled experiments and causal‑inference studies, and translate results into recommendations.
• Investigate anomalies, conduct root‑cause analyses, and provide data‑driven guidance for priorities.
• Define core metrics, build measurement frameworks, and maintain reporting dashboards.
• Build statistical models, optimization frameworks, and simulations to automate decision‑making.
• Present complex analyses to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Establish foundational data practices and scale analytics infrastructure as products grow.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in data science or analytics.
• Strong written communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Comfortable thriving in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments.
• Passion for building safe, helpful AI.
