About the role
We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our AI/ML software development team focused on state‑of‑the‑art medical devices and medical image processing. The role oversees the governance, quality control, and validation of imaging data used to build AI‑driven clinical decision support models.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, train, evaluate and tune machine‑learning models that provide clinical recommendations.
- Gather, process, and verify raw imaging data from multiple sources, ensuring consistency, reliability and compliance with privacy regulations.
- Perform statistical analyses, cross‑validation and other tests to validate model generalizability.
- Document data sources, cleaning pipelines, model assumptions, parameters and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data‑science projects and communicate findings.
Required profile
- Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Data Science, Health Informatics, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience as a data scientist in healthcare, life sciences or medical‑device environments.
- Knowledge of medical imaging standards (DICOM, NIfTI) and privacy regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 13485, FDA).
Required skills
- Python programming.
- SQL and NoSQL data‑management tools.
- Experience with DICOM, NIfTI formats and PACS systems.
- Cloud‑based storage solutions for imaging data.
- Data‑labeling platforms such as Labelbox or Supervisely.
- Machine‑learning model development and statistical testing.

- Annual base salary range $120,487 – $192,780.
