Data Scientist III – Insurance & Generative AI (Hybrid – Webster or Boston)

About the role

MAPFRE is seeking a forward‑thinking analytics leader to design, build, and scale advanced analytical solutions that address high‑impact business challenges in the insurance domain. The position is hybrid, allowing work from either Webster or Boston.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and deployment of predictive models, machine‑learning solutions, and Generative AI use cases.
• Translate analytical outputs into actionable insights that support strategic decision‑making.
• Build and automate sophisticated reports, dashboards, and model outputs for business and executive stakeholders.
• Present model performance, lift, and impact analyses to senior leadership.
• Own the full model lifecycle: development, validation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct research into innovative algorithms and Generative AI approaches to unlock new opportunities.
• Develop, test, and refine prompts and support the design of agent‑based Generative AI workflows.

Required profile

• Strong business acumen with deep knowledge of the insurance sector.
• Proven ability to communicate complex analytical concepts to senior leaders.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and promoting best practices.
• Track record of driving innovation through advanced analytics.
