Data Scientist I – Data Science Accelerator Program

About the role

LexisNexis Risk Solutions is looking for a motivated Data Scientist I to join its Data Science Accelerator Program (DSAP). Over a two‑year hybrid program you will rotate through analytical product development assignments, gaining hands‑on experience with insurance risk data and machine‑learning models.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, clean, and organize large datasets for analysis.
• Support teammates in merging and parsing data to uncover trends.
• Apply statistical and machine‑learning techniques under senior guidance.
• Document model code, track results, and help validate predictive models.
• Create attributes and rules from raw data to support analytics projects.
• Develop data visualizations to communicate findings.
• Prepare responses to client inquiries about data, scores, or analytic outputs.
• Document work clearly and present results within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Business or a related field.
• Coursework or project experience with Python or R; familiarity with SQL is a plus.
• Strong interest in data analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning.
• Exposure to data‑visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib.
