Data Scientist I – Analytics Accelerator Program

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Data Scientist I to join the Data Science Accelerator Program (DSAP) within LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ Insurance Analytics team. Over a two‑year rotational program you will gain hands‑on experience across analytical product development, model building and client‑focused data solutions while working from our Alpharetta, GA headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, clean and organize large data sets to prepare them for analysis.
• Support teammates in merging and parsing data to uncover trends and patterns.
• Apply statistical and machine‑learning techniques under senior guidance.
• Document model code, track results and help validate predictive models.
• Create attributes and rules from raw data for analytic projects.
• Develop data visualisations to communicate findings.
• Assist in responding to client inquiries about data, scores or analytic outputs.
• Present results clearly in team settings and maintain thorough documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Business or a related field.
• Coursework or project experience with Python or R; familiarity with SQL is a plus.
• Interest in data analysis, predictive modelling and machine learning.
