Data Scientist – Experimentation Platform (Level 5)

About the role

Netflix is looking for a senior Data Scientist to join the Experimentation Platform team. You will help democratize trustworthy experiments across the company and enable new capabilities through close collaboration with data science and engineering partners.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with data science and engineering stakeholders to design, onboard, and scale new experimentation workflows.
• Design, build, operate, and maintain mathematical and engineering implementations of platform methodologies.
• Maintain inference data and analysis pipelines, including compute clusters and API services.
• Develop new tooling to address emerging experimentation‑related business needs.
• Collaborate with other full‑stack data scientists to ensure reliable and useful analysis results.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of experience with statistics/inference, preferably in an experimentation context.
• 3+ years of experience with data‑science languages, especially Python and SQL.
• 3+ years building and operating production‑grade applications.
• Strong ability to translate mathematical concepts into clean, maintainable code.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑clarification skills.
