Data & Research Associate – Health Insurance Study

About the role

The Data and Research Associate will support the Georgetown University Initiative on Innovation, Development, and Evaluation (gui2de) within the McCourt School of Public Policy. Working closely with Professor Jishnu Das, the associate will contribute to a health‑insurance study across Kenya and Nigeria and to the analysis of a unique Standardized Patients dataset.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and prepare datasets already collected for analysis.
• Conduct data analysis, create graphs, and develop presentation materials.
• Manage datasets and code repositories to ensure reproducibility.
• Supervise field teams in Kenya and Nigeria, ensuring data quality.
• Produce replicable coding “do” files for publication.
• Assist with funding proposals and Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with 3‑5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work.
• Strong analytical background and experience with quantitative research.
• Proven ability to supervise field staff and manage international research projects.
• Familiarity with research ethics, IRB processes, and data collection protocols.
