Data Entry Specialist – Remote (CA)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Data Entry Specialist to support our office and billing team. The position is remote, but the candidate must reside in California to receive equipment. You will handle high‑volume document processing, ensure data accuracy, and assist with general administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, organize, and manage over 1,000 electronic documents each month.
• Upload and download large volumes of files daily while maintaining file integrity.
• Enter data into internal databases with strong attention to detail.
• Review billing‑related documents for typographical errors (no billing processing).
• Conduct error checks on authorization forms and related paperwork.
• Maintain accurate records, organize files, and distribute documents to appropriate departments.
• Transcribe meeting minutes and handle email/phone inquiries professionally.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth office operations and resolve routine issues.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of data entry experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow structured procedures and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable receiving feedback and improving accuracy over time.
• Reliable high‑speed internet (minimum 100 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload).

Required skills

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel (formulas, data entry, calculations).
• Data entry proficiency with a minimum typing speed of 45 WPM and accurate 10‑key skills.
