Data Entry Specialist – Hybrid (NYC)

About the role

We are looking for a Data Entry Specialist to join our technology team in New York City on a three‑month contract, with the possibility of extension. The role is hybrid, requiring one day per week onsite and the rest remote, and offers a rate of $23 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Support testing and validation of new internal tools by executing structured data‑processing workflows.
• Perform high‑volume, repeatable data entry tasks with precision while using both standard and AI‑assisted tools.
• Review source documents, extract and validate information, and flag any discrepancies.
• Utilize spreadsheet software and document‑based workflows to maintain consistent throughput and quality.
• Provide clear written feedback to the development team and communicate blockers promptly.
• Adhere to project guidelines and ensure all tasks are completed within the engagement window.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (BS) required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in data entry, data processing, or similar high‑volume, detail‑oriented roles.
• Strong attention to detail, process‑driven mindset, and ability to sustain focus on repetitive tasks.
• Reliable, proactive communicator who can work independently within a set schedule.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets).
• Experience using document‑based workflow tools.
• Comfort with learning and operating AI‑assisted data processing tools.
