Data Entry Clerk – Full-time

About the role

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately transferring information from source documents into digital systems. This position requires strong attention to detail, independent time management, and the ability to verify data for correctness.

Key responsibilities

• Read source documents such as canceled checks, sales reports, and bills, and enter data using keyboards or scanners.
• Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before entry.
• Locate and correct data entry errors or report them to supervisors.
• Compare entered data with source documents and re‑enter data in verification format to detect discrepancies.
• Maintain activity logs and complete assigned work on schedule.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• 8‑10 years of related data entry experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Completion of a speed and accuracy data entry test, if required.
