Data Engineer

About the role

iHeartMedia, part of RCS Worldwide, is hiring a Data Engineer in San Antonio, Texas. The role reports directly to the Director of Software Engineering and works alongside data scientists and business stakeholders to turn data into reliable, production-ready solutions. It is a regular, full-time, salaried position.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, deploy and maintain data solutions supporting business requirements, web applications, models and analytics.
• Work with data scientists, analysts, product teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable data solutions.
• Design, build and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using PySpark, AWS Glue, Pandas and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions.
• Handle data ingestion, transformation, validation, storage and pipeline monitoring.
• Build infrastructure for model training, scoring and retraining, and related reporting.
• Deploy and manage applications and pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and ECS.
• Monitor data quality, troubleshoot issues and optimise pipeline performance.
• Collaborate with a small, agile team and resolve technical issues through debugging.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Experience developing high-performance applications for large enterprises.
• Hands-on AWS cloud experience (or a similar platform), including Glue, CodePipeline and ECS.
• Strong Python (PySpark, Pandas, DataFrames) and SQL skills.
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, data quality and pipeline monitoring.
• Database experience with Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB and Athena.
• Git, agile development and a proven track record of meeting project timelines.
• Preferred: AWS SageMaker, Apache Iceberg and Delta tables.
