Data Collection Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Data Collection Technician to be the welcoming face of our research studies. In this full-time, onsite role you will guide participants through study sessions, ensure smooth logistics, and maintain accurate records. You will work closely with our data collection team to support cutting-edge human-computer interaction research.

Key responsibilities

• Greet, onboard, and assist study participants throughout each session with professionalism.
• Set up, monitor, and close out session logistics, ensuring all equipment and materials are ready.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for participants, answering questions and troubleshooting issues in real time.
• Document session details using digital tools and follow established data-recording protocols.
• Collaborate daily with the data collection team to maintain seamless workflows and flag any operational concerns.

Required profile

• Flexible schedule – availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and shifts between 6 am and 10 pm.
• Strong customer-service mindset and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to stay alert and responsive during long shifts.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Notion.
• Experience using Airtable.
• Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive).
