Data Center Construction Manager – Port Washington

About the role

KGO is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead day‑to‑day activities on a gigawatt‑scale data center campus in Port Washington, Wisconsin. The role supports a major hyperscale technology client and involves coordinating large‑scale, mission‑critical construction efforts on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily construction operations for a multi‑year data center build.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, design teams, and client stakeholders.
• Monitor safety, quality, schedule, and budget performance.
• Lead field coordination meetings and resolve construction challenges.
• Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other construction documentation.
• Track project milestones and ensure adherence to schedules.
• Support commissioning, turnover, and startup activities.
• Provide regular reporting to project leadership.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of construction management experience.
• Strong background in electrical, mechanical, and building controls/automation systems.
• Experience delivering large‑scale mission‑critical projects (e.g., data centers, energy, utility, semiconductor).
• Deep understanding of construction sequencing, procurement, and commissioning.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
