Data and AI Project Analyst

About the role

The Data and AI Project Analyst acts as the bridge between project teams, owners, JV partners and DPR’s Technology & Innovation groups. Working primarily on‑site, the analyst translates business needs into scalable data, analytics, integration and AI solutions while ensuring compliance with governance, legal and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Engage early in pursuit and pre‑construction to capture owner‑mandated technologies, data requirements and reporting obligations.
• Identify AI opportunities, align use cases with owner expectations and contract constraints, and advise on feasibility and value.
• Lead data exchange discussions with owners, JV partners and stakeholders, defining integration approaches (system access vs data sharing, file‑based vs platform‑based).
• Coordinate with Data Engineering, Solution Architecture and Analytics teams to ensure scalable, repeatable solutions and manage UAT, QA/QC and production readiness.
• Drive data readiness, integration strategies and standardized exchange frameworks to support predictive and generative AI models.
• Provide hands‑on support in Power BI, iterating reports and developing proof‑of‑concept solutions based on user feedback.

Required profile

• Field‑based professional comfortable spending ~75% of time on active job sites.
• Strong ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the U.S. and off‑site locations.
• Experience navigating data governance, legal and contractual requirements in a construction or engineering environment.
