Data Analytics Developer II

About the role

Working independently under general supervision, the Data Analytics Developer II designs, implements and maintains complex on‑premise and cloud‑based database solutions that support the university’s Institutional Effectiveness reporting, analytics, regulatory compliance and Academic Affairs integration initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable database architectures on Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Build, automate and optimise data pipelines using Databricks.
• Perform complex data extraction, transformation and analysis with SQL (T‑SQL, PL/SQL).
• Ensure performance, security and compliance of mission‑critical data systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior staff.
• Align solutions with university IT policies, cloud‑governance and data‑governance standards.

Required profile

• Advanced judgment in database design, cloud architecture and automation frameworks.
• Ability to communicate technical issues and draft documentation.
• Experience mentoring staff and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
