Data Analyst

About the role

The Data Analyst will support the Infectious Diseases Clinical Trials Unit at Georgetown University Medical Center. You will be responsible for accurate data entry, coordination with clinical staff, and ensuring data integrity across multiple systems.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and validate data in the clinical trial sponsor system and internal software.
• Interact with sponsors and proprietary applications for data management.
• Schedule trial subjects and plan visits using Google Calendar.
• Coordinate with the Clinical Trial Coordinator and Financial Administrator to reconcile data between Georgetown GMS and sponsor systems.
• Escalate data discrepancies to the Clinical Trial Manager.
• Document business and technical requirements for research processes.
• Create instructional guides for complex tasks and assist in user training material development.
• Test applications, identify gaps, and support implementation of new functionality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve processes and gather research needs.
• Perform additional projects as assigned by the Clinical Research Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience supporting clinical trials or a similar healthcare research environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Proficiency with Google Gmail, Calendar, and Drive.
• Experience with Workday is a plus.
