Data Analyst – Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence

About the role

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence team at OWL Services. In this hands‑on position you will expand the reach and operational impact of our modern data platform by developing reports, extending models, and ensuring the reliability of our production analytics stack.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and extend Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, and alerts for finance, operations, inventory, dispatch, and vendor management.
• Write and optimise complex SQL queries against Snowflake to investigate data, build models, and answer business questions.
• Build and refactor dbt models that standardise and harmonise data extracted from multiple ERPs into a unified schema.
• Set up data in a scalable, consumable way to enable the organisation to serve both humans and agents effectively.
• Reconcile disparate source‑system definitions (chart of accounts, item masters, customer/vendor records, transaction types) to provide a true apples‑to‑apples view.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to elicit requirements, understand operational context, and translate questions into reliable reporting.
• Proactively surface findings, anomalies, and improvement opportunities discovered in the data.
• Monitor Fivetran connectors, dbt runs, and Power BI processes to ensure ongoing reliability.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Strong ability to write and optimise complex SQL, particularly in Snowflake.
• Hands‑on experience with dbt for data modelling and transformation.
• Familiarity with Fivetran or similar data‑pipeline tools.
• Proven track record of working with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
• Analytical mindset with a passion for untangling messy data and delivering trustworthy insights.
