Data Analysis Intern

About the role

The United Nations Department of Global Communications is seeking a Data Analysis Intern for the Dag Hammarskjöld Library in New York. This full‑time, on‑site internship supports the Library’s mission to provide trusted information and knowledge to UN stakeholders worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with data analysis, cleaning, visualization, and presentation focused on the Section’s Key Performance Indicators and global consultation surveys.
• Support the preparation of data reports and dashboards for internal distribution.
• Liaise with team members to ensure data points are clearly understood and communicated.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager of the Office of the Chief Librarian.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or have completed a graduate program, or be in the final year of a bachelor’s degree (field of study related to data analysis).
• No prior professional experience required.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of software applications used for data and statistical analysis and data visualization.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools is an asset.
