Cybersecurity Engineer (NY)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in New York. You will be responsible for deploying, managing, and enhancing a range of security technologies while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and manage cybersecurity tools such as Trend Micro Antivirus, RSA SecureID, and Splunk.
• Implement and support new security solutions including Cyberark and Tenable.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades to improve overall security posture.
• Create, update, and maintain technical documentation and procedural guides.
• Design and propose system architecture for security deployments.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on technology implementation.
• Configure, set up, and maintain cybersecurity systems and applications.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on new technologies.
• Offer on‑call and off‑hour support for security systems as required.
• Perform equipment transport, installation, and travel to multiple company sites (valid driver’s license required).
• Work onsite at least four days per week with flexibility for overtime and emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with NERC CIP Personnel Risk Assessment and company policies.

Required profile

• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation abilities.
• Ability to travel between sites and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Preferred experience in the utility or energy sector and with reputable organizations.
