Cybersecurity Analyst – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our client’s team remotely. The role involves monitoring, detecting, analysing and responding to security threats while safeguarding the integrity of systems, networks and data.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security systems, networks and endpoints for suspicious activity and vulnerabilities.
• Analyse and respond to security incidents, threats and breaches.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and security risk analyses.
• Implement and maintain security tools such as firewalls, antivirus, SIEM, IDS/IPS and endpoint protection.
• Investigate phishing, malware, ransomware and other cyber threats.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with IT teams to strengthen infrastructure security.
• Prepare security reports, documentation and incident‑response plans.
• Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity trends, threats and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security or a SOC environment.
• Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, VPN and threat detection.

Required skills

• Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk.
• Familiarity with endpoint protection platforms like CrowdStrike.
• Network analysis tools including Wireshark.
• Vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus, Qualys or Microsoft Defender.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
• Understanding of cloud security concepts for AWS, Azure or GCP (a plus).
