Cybersecurity Analyst – 24/7 SOC

About the role

UltraViolet Cyber is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Analyst to join its 24/7/365 Security Operations Center (SOC). The analyst will protect corporate infrastructure by continuously monitoring, responding to incidents, and analyzing threats.

Key responsibilities

• Perform systems and network intrusion analysis using the Splunk SIEM platform.
• Collaborate with SOC analysts on incident response, event analysis, and threat intelligence.
• Investigate security threats across multiple data sources and initiate incident review cases.
• Monitor alerts from firewalls, IDS, antivirus, web application firewalls, and web servers, triaging and escalating as needed.
• Document notable events in Splunk for forensic investigation and replay.
• Continuously monitor the environment to recommend remediation for unauthorized activities.
• Provide real‑time auditing, reporting, and coordination for security incident tracking.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3–4 years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or security analysis.
• Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Splunk SIEM.
• Knowledge of firewalls and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
• Experience with antivirus solutions.
• Familiarity with web application firewalls and web servers.
