Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

The Cyber Security Analyst will protect the organization’s computer systems and networks from cyber threats. You will monitor network activity, implement security controls, and respond to incidents to minimise damage.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor networks for security breaches and suspicious activity.
• Implement and maintain protective measures such as firewalls and patch management.
• Respond to security incidents, investigate root causes and remediate threats.
• Develop and deliver IT security awareness training across the organization.
• Review vendor security reports (e.g., SOC 2) as part of the contract evaluation process.

Required profile

• College degree in a computer‑related discipline; security certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cyber security management.
• Strong technical and analytical abilities.
• Understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems, network protocols, firewalls and system patching.
• Experience with policy and regulatory environments, especially in not‑for‑profit organisations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information.
