Cyber Hunt Team Leader

About the role

Everforth ECS is looking for a Cyber Hunt Team Leader to join a flagship, enterprise‑scale cybersecurity program supporting a major federal civilian agency. Based near the National Capital Region, you will lead proactive threat hunting, advanced analytics, and incident response across a massive, complex federal IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and execute proactive threat‑hunting missions to identify and neutralize advanced threats before they impact operations.
• Serve as incident‑response lead, hunt‑team project lead, and technical lead for large‑scale hunt operations.
• Collaborate with SOC analysts, Cyber Threat Intelligence teams, and agency stakeholders to develop detection logic, threat hypotheses, and a knowledge base of Indicators of Compromise.
• Support Purple‑Team exercises and threat‑emulation activities to validate and improve defensive posture.
• Oversee network‑analysis capabilities, device‑integrity monitoring, and cloud‑environment hunting.
• Present findings, risk recommendations, and actionable intelligence to senior government officials.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship.
• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with proven expertise in threat hunting, incident response, and adversary analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams in a high‑stakes, federal environment.
