CW Contingent Worker

About the role

This position supports the on‑site services provided by VWR, part of Avantor, for a client site in Toledo. The Contingent Worker will be responsible for a wide range of logistics, inventory, and laboratory tasks, ensuring smooth operations and high safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming merchandise.
• Manage warehouse operations, including inventory control and storage of chemicals.
• Handle purchasing, reagent management, and solvent filling.
• Coordinate shipments and manage waste disposal.
• Prepare environmental reports and maintain SOP documentation.
• Provide laboratory support and fulfill client‑specific demands.
• Perform safety and risk‑prevention activities on the shop floor.

Required profile

• Professional training or basic degree in Chemistry, Laboratory Technology, Pharmacy or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in the chemical sector (minimum 2 years overall).
• Intermediate English proficiency (B1 level).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
• Experience or training with database systems such as SAP.
