CW Associate Professor

About the role

This is an adjunct, volunteer faculty appointment for a physician who will work with internal medicine residents at Mercy Hospital in Northwest Arkansas. The position is part of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Graduate Medical Education program.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical teaching and supervision to residents during patient care activities.
• Participate in curriculum development and educational conferences.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a high‑quality learning environment.
• Maintain compliance with UAMS vaccination policy or obtain an approved exemption.

Required profile

• Board‑certified physician eligible for an approved appointment action in JFR.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on day one of employment.
• Willingness to meet COVID‑19 vaccination requirements or hold a valid medical/religious exemption.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in internal medicine.
• Experience teaching or mentoring medical residents.
• Familiarity with residency program standards and accreditation requirements.
