About the role

The CW Assistant Professor will join the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) to support resident education at the Central Arkansas Veterans Health System (CAVHS). This faculty position focuses on clinical teaching, mentorship, and contributing to the academic mission of the institution.

Key responsibilities

Provide direct education and supervision to internal medicine residents at CAVHS.
Participate in curriculum development and delivery of didactic sessions.
Mentor trainees and contribute to their professional growth.
Engage in departmental meetings, scholarly activities, and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

Must have an approved appointment action for the faculty role.
Fully vaccinated against Covid‑19 or hold an approved medical or religious exemption.
Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
Commitment to diversity, teamwork, and patient‑centered care.
