Customs Auditor – Contract (Grapevine, TX)

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Customs Auditor on a contract basis to support its Customs & Trade Compliance team in Grapevine, Texas. The role ensures that all import entries filed under the company’s Importer of Record number comply with U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations and internal procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Audit approximately 7501 customs entries following established audit procedures and compile weekly and monthly compliance status reports.
• Evaluate broker performance, maintain monthly and annual statistics, and facilitate quarterly broker review meetings.
• Compile supporting documentation for CF28, CF29, ISA audits, reject and census warnings, and act as backup for the Classification Specialist.
• Research discrepancies between receiving records and customs entries, request PEA corrections, and coordinate root‑cause and corrective actions.
• Acquire data from primary or secondary sources, maintain databases, and develop analytical reports to support compliance activities.

Required profile

• Experience conducting customs entry audits and overseeing broker performance.
• Familiarity with Customs & Border Protection regulations and import compliance processes.
• Strong analytical abilities to investigate discrepancies and prepare corrective actions.
• Ability to produce clear compliance reports and maintain accurate records.

Required skills

• Knowledge of U.S. customs regulations and import procedures.
