Customer Service Team Leader

About the role

The Customer Service Team Leader supports the Store Manager by acting as Manager on Duty, ensuring safety, sales, and service standards are met in a retail environment. This role combines leadership, cash handling, and store upkeep to deliver an excellent customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Leader on Duty, enforcing safe work practices and maintaining a clean, organized store.
• Oversee cash drawer balances, deposits, and register accountability.
• Review and resolve customer concerns promptly.
• Maintain store appearance, including cleaning, vacuuming, and restroom upkeep.
• Encourage round‑up donations and achieve a minimum 25% average.
• Assist with employee meetings, equipment maintenance, and reporting.
• Provide coverage for donation doors, cashiering, and merchandise production as needed.

Required profile

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one year retail experience with at least six months in a supervisory role.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with staff, volunteers, and customers.
