Customer Service Specialist

About the role

WEX is looking for a Customer Service Specialist to act as the primary point of contact for customers in a fast‑paced, work‑from‑home call centre. The role involves handling inbound calls and emails related to account maintenance, billing, payments, technical support and, when required, health‑benefits or COBRA inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to inbound customer calls and emails professionally.
• Assist customers with billing questions, payments, account maintenance and general inquiries.
• Troubleshoot issues and guide users on WEX online platforms and mobile apps.
• Navigate multiple systems simultaneously to research information and provide efficient resolutions.
• Maintain compliance with security policies, privacy requirements and HIPAA guidelines where applicable.
• Record detailed interactions in Salesforce CRM.
• Adapt communication style to diverse customer needs and support various services such as benefits, healthcare coverage, fleet, fuel card and account management.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and a positive, professional attitude.
• Ability to learn and operate complex systems quickly.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, goal‑oriented environment.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays and occasional overtime.

What we offer
