Customer Service Representative - Part Time Patient Registration

About the role

R1, a provider of revenue cycle technology for hospitals, health systems and medical groups, is hiring a Customer Service Representative for its Patient Registration team at Intermountain Utah Valley Hospital. The position is part time and PRN as needed, and is open to candidates with no prior healthcare experience, as full training is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Register patients efficiently using multiple computer systems
• Answer phones and gather information quickly and accurately
• Help patients navigate the registration process and answer questions with confidence and compassion
• Assist patients who may be ill, anxious or confused
• Navigate diverse insurance plans and coverage details (training provided)
• Adapt to interruptions from clinical teams during urgent care situations
• Build rapport and ease patient concerns in real time

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong customer service experience
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test and meet vaccination requirements
• Preferred: medical or healthcare experience (not required)
