Customer Service Representative

About the role

Brenntag is looking for a Customer Service Representative in Chandler who creates a positive customer experience through timely communication based on customer needs. The role covers accurate and prompt processing of customer orders and full order life-cycle management, including order processing, order management, order changes, cross-functional collaboration for order fulfillment and all order-related communication with the customer.

Key responsibilities

• Handle order placement accurately and confirm orders by phone, email or EDI, and notify customers promptly about order changes
• Verify shipping, billing, pricing and purchase order information, and enter special instructions, customer requests, codes and notes
• Update customer files with quoted pricing, new items, address changes and delivery instructions
• Support sales staff in the field and communicate regularly with internal and external customers
• Work as part of a team on data entry and order intake, helping other representatives
• Audit purchase orders for pricing, quantity, terms, ETA, carrier and special shipping instructions, and check others' orders
• Document and resolve customer complaints and process product returns according to documented procedures
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory expectations and company policies

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in customer service or a similar discipline; chemical distribution or manufacturing experience is a plus
• Ability to problem solve, work independently and handle a fast-paced, deadline-driven workload
• Strong listening, speaking and decision-making skills, excellent written and oral communication, and calmness on customer calls
• Willingness to work overtime, on-call hours or after hours
