Customer Service Representative

About the role

The Customer Service Representative will be the primary point of contact for patients, attorneys and insurance partners, helping to resolve billing questions and related issues. You will work within Envision Healthcare’s patient services team to ensure high‑quality, compassionate support.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from patients, attorneys, insurance companies and other stakeholders to address billing inquiries and resolve problems.
• Assist with patient liaison matters and provide guidance on payor and state regulations.
• Train new Patient Services employees and demonstrate job functions during onboarding.
• Handle special projects, callbacks, and escalated calls requiring supervisor attention.
• Review and process affidavits, subpoenas and IDG forms.
• Follow information systems security policies, attend training and report any security issues.
• Support internal projects and serve as a resource for other patient services representatives.

Required profile

• Flexible, high‑achieving individual who can learn quickly and meet departmental goals.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
• Familiarity with healthcare billing processes and relevant regulations.
