Customer Service / Lot Attendant

About the role

U-Haul is looking for friendly, motivated individuals to join our team as Customer Service Representatives and Lot Attendants. In this role you will be the face of the company, helping customers with rentals, equipment inspections, and on‑site support while using modern technology to manage inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside the U‑Haul center with product and service inquiries.
• Use smartphone‑based U‑Scan technology to process rentals and track inventory.
• Move, hook up, and clean trucks and trailers, checking fluid levels and performing inspections.
• Prepare rental invoices, accept returns, and install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane tanks and operate a forklift after certification.
• Participate in ongoing training through U‑Haul University.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work safely around moving equipment and chemicals.
• Physical ability to lift and move items weighing at least 50 lb.

Required skills

• Proficiency with U‑Scan technology.
• Forklift operation.
• Propane filling.
• Hitch and trailer wiring installation.
