Customer Service Assistant (Remote, Part-time)

About the role

Surfline is looking for a part-time Customer Service Assistant to join its remote team for a three-month assignment. You will be the first point of contact for users of Surfline, FishTrack and Buoyweather, helping them get the most out of the company’s ocean-focused products.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to incoming service requests via Zendesk.
• Provide first-line support for Surfline, FishTrack and Buoyweather users.
• Collaborate with Forecast, Product and Camera Operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Guide customers through product features and ensure a positive experience.
• Maintain the brand voice in all communications, demonstrating patience and empathy.
• Identify recurring issues and forward insights to product and marketing teams.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer-service role (retail, online or similar).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of patience and empathy when dealing with users.
• Strong availability on Mondays and Tuesdays, with flexibility for the rest of the week.
• Ability to work between 8:00 am–4:00 pm PT to align with the UK team.
