About the role
Applied Materials is seeking an AMNA Customer Quality Engineer (E3) to serve as the primary quality interface for customers in the Americas region. The role focuses on reducing failure analysis cycle time, driving continuous improvement, and supporting Lean Six Sigma initiatives within the semiconductor business.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the customer quality liaison for AMNA, addressing failure analyses and improving FA cycle time as part of the Voice of the Customer program.
- Facilitate the FSO team’s quality and Lean Six Sigma journey, from problem statement definition to 8D resolution.
- Manage APS Governance at field sites and provide 8D training to enhance data‑driven problem solving.
- Develop and deploy quality tools and methods, and ensure QMS compliance through internal audits and ISO certification processes.
- Interact with customers, vendors, and internal functional groups to resolve quality and reliability concerns.
Required profile
- Extensive knowledge of quality processes, standards, and semiconductor industry tools.
- Ability to lead functional teams or projects with moderate complexity.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, capable of driving innovative solutions.
- Effective communication and influence without formal authority.
