Customer Care Specialist I

About the role

The Customer Care Specialist I provides front‑line support to customers through phone, email, chat and ticketing systems. You will act as the first point of contact, ensuring issues are resolved quickly while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and respond to customer inquiries across multiple channels.
• Listen actively, troubleshoot standard technical and account‑related problems, and document resolutions.
• Escalate complex cases to the appropriate internal teams.
• Follow security protocols when accessing customer data.
• Collaborate with internal departments to achieve timely issue resolution.
• Assist with customer education and training as needed.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through quality service delivery.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Less than 2 years of related experience, preferably in a contact‑center environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and operate under pressure.
• Basic understanding of computers, internet and email.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
• Bilingual English‑Spanish preferred.

What we offer

• Hourly pay ranging from $16.59 to $24.86 (USD).
• Potential additional compensation through commissions or incentive programs.
• Minimum of sixteen paid hours off each month plus seven paid holidays.
