Customer Analyst

About the role

Join Shiftsmart’s customer analytics team to work closely with enterprise customers, using proprietary data to drive meaningful outcomes. Based in New York City, you’ll collaborate across product, engineering, and operations to deliver data‑driven insights and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Own analytics initiatives that support daily operations, building data architecture, identifying opportunities, and creating reports to monitor progress.
• Help maximize in‑store sales for retail customers through advanced analytics, labor optimization, and execution of critical initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to create and optimize production plans for Shiftsmart partners, balancing sales with spoilage.
• Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to provide data‑informed strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Analytically‑minded with 2‑4+ years in an analytical role such as bizops, product analytics, data science, consulting, or investment banking.
• Problem solver who thrives on complex challenges and can synthesize abstract concepts into concrete solutions.
• Highly organized, able to bring structure to ambiguity and prioritize effectively.
• Influential collaborator who can get things done without formal authority.
• Clear communicator with strong writing skills for memos and presentations.
• Technical aptitude to blend quantitative data with qualitative insights and quickly learn new tools.
