Custom Applicator / Operations Specialist

About the role

Join CHS Inc. at its new plant in Chokio, MN as a Custom Applicator and Operations Specialist. You will work directly with local farmers, applying fertilizer and crop‑protection products while supporting plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Build relationships with farmers to understand their chemical and fertilizer needs.
• Operate high‑clearance sprayers or floaters to apply products safely, accurately, and efficiently.
• Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and trucks using loaders, forklifts, and other heavy‑duty equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, sprayers, and plant equipment.
• Assist sales staff with order verification and customer support.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including general labor and grounds upkeep.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in agriculture production, operations, or application.
• Must meet DOT and company requirements, including age and licensing.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
